On December 4th my baby turned one. How could that be? How could 365 days go by so fast? How could she learn how to smile, roll over, coo, laugh, crawl, walk & so much more in just a short year. I'm still in awe that I have a child. She is so loving, caring & so darn funny!! She is the air that I breathe, the smile on my face, the warmth in my heart, and the light in my day.

On November 26th, we celebrated her 1st birthday. It was a "very hungry caterpillar" theme. She got lots of presents & lots of love. We are thankful everyday to have her, to be with her, to watch her grow & raise her in God's love. I am going to post nothing but pics, so sit back & enjoy...

Since Adam & Andrea went to Europe & we were watching Meghan, we decided to have our own fun...AT SEA WORLD!!! Anyone that knows me, knows I have a special place in my heart for animals...so I was in heaven. We have passes & go often, but its not the same taking kids. LOL. It was Azlin's first time there & she was only 1.5 months old! Andy and Honor came with us too. We had a blast!!!

On February 27th, 2011 I entered my last year of my 20's...I turned 29. *sigh* To celebrate, we went whale watching in Dana Point. Yes, I took my infant on a boat in hopes to spot some of God's largest creatures. I love whales, and the ocean. It was the perfect way to celebrate ending my 20's.

As season ticket holders to Disneyland, its a miracle we waited so long to take Azlin there for the first time. We wanted to take her with people we love, we wanted to share the experience with friends. So on February 21st, 2011 we took baby Azlin to Disneyland with our very dear friends Chris & Betsy. We had a blast!!

A Name & A Blessing

On January 9th, 2011 we Blessed our baby Azlin. (For those of you who are not of the Mormon faith, it is when a man holding the Priesthood gives the baby a blessing. you can find out more at www.lds.org)

Azlin was blessed by her Dad, and given the name Azlin Starr McGary. In the circle was Grandpa Bartlett, Grandpa McGary, Uncle Adam, John Blair, Bishop Zac Manning, President Mark Watkins, and Uncle Taylor held the microphone. In the blessing, Andrew blessed Azlin with good health, knowledge of the gospel & of our love for her. He also blessed her that she will grow up in pure faith, and have an Eternal Marriage as a goal. It was a very sweet blessing. I was so proud of him!

As Christmas is fastly approaching, we had to get our tree FAST. To avoid the "hussle & bussle" of the holiday season, we got our tree at Wal-Mart! LOL. It was only $25 and it was perfect!! Here is baby Azlin helping Daddy pick out just the right one!

College Park Ward Christmas Dinner

2 days after we got home was our Ward Christmas dinner. My parents were in charge of it and planned on having Melissa Rydjeski sing "Mary's Lullaby" to a couple dressed as the Holy Family with a babydoll. Since we had a REAL baby a week before, they asked us to do it. Since the word "NO" is not in my vocabulary we did it. We stayed in the "Mothers Lounge" until we went on stage, then went home right after since the baby is so little and I didn't want her around all the germs. (yes, I am truely a new mom!) But while we were there Azlin got to meet her cousins for the first time. Here is baby Azlin with her cousins. (L-R: Kaitlyn, Peyton, Azlin & Meghan)

As Melissa sang, I couldn't contain my tears. Here I am holding my newborn baby, thinking about Mary, Joseph & Jesus. I felt a deep connection Mary that night as I rocked my baby to thoses precious lyrics...and my Testimony of her love for our Savior grew like never before.

We left the hospital to come home around 2pm. Andrew had to drive VERLY slowly. Every bump, turn & brake caused me to yelp in agony. I never knew having a c-section would be so difficult. My mom met us at home, and this is what we pulled up to! She had cleaned up our apartment, changed the sheets on our bed, cooked us a delish dinner and stayed to help us out with the baby for a while. (I could NEVER have done any of this without my Mother. She is such a great influence in my life! Thanks Mama!) We have video of us walking up to the front door. But it took me over 5 minutes to just make it up our stairs so I'll save you from the video. LOL.

I was admitted to Hoag Hospital on Friday December 3rd, 2010 with preclamcia. Once there, they gave me magnesium to lower my blood pressure and broke my water. After about an hour they started the induction with pitocin. I was having major contractions and with each one I would get sick and throw up. After being checked multiple times I progressed to 4 cm and it was time for my epidural. (best thing known to man!) After my epidural, I was doing great until my blood pressure dropped. It dropped to 57/23, an alarm went off and nurses and doctors came running in. I got 2 shots of adrenaline and it slowly went back up. That was really scary. After that happened every time I had a contraction the baby's heart rate would go down. The doctor on call (Dr. Agnew) came in, sat at the end of my hospital bed & kindly said "we need to do a c-section, the baby's not doing too well when you have contractions. We will start in 30 minutes" Holy cow, 30 minutes!! Andrew jumped into action and called his brother Adam to come down & give me a blessing before the surgery. He made it just in time. Andrew got dressed in his "surgical gear" and then they wheeled me into surgery with Andrew waiting in the hallway until they were ready for him. (which btw seemed like FOREVER) Here I was laying on a surgery table with my arms stretched out and everyone is talking while prepping me. Then they lifted a sheet up, and in came Andrew. (I was so glad to see him again) Andrew came in and took a seat next to me, holding my right hand. Then it all began...I was terrified and told Andrew to just look at my face and talk to me about anything. He chose Hockey. (surprised? I'm not) Then all the doctors started talking about sports with Andrew. (HELLO!!! I'm in surgery right now and THIS is what we are talking about?!) All I felt was tugging and pulling. No pain, no discomfort, nothing. Next thing we knew, at 6:49am Dr. Agnew said "HERE SHE IS!!" and out she came. Screaming at the top of her little lungs. I was trying not to cry because my belly would move. LOL. They took her, cleaned her up and allowed Andrew to cut the umbilical cord. As I was getting "put back together" we found out she was 6 pounds, 1 ounce and 18 inches long. Andrew left with her and I was put into a recovery bed and wheeled into recovery where I joined Andrew & baby Azlin for our "Golden Hour." I had the shakes really bad from the epidural and had to have warm blankets put all over me. I couldn't hold my precious little girl for most of that hour. Finally at the end, I could hold her and we were wheeled up to our room. As we were turning the corner to our room, my mom saw us...started crying and came over to see her newest (and #19!) granchild. It was a whirl wind of visitors after that and 27 hours later we were sent upstairs to our mother/baby unit to recover for the next 3.5 days. Azlin's birth was chaotic and full of love. We can't wait to raise her and love her forever.

We only have a few more weeks to go before we meet our percious little girl. We are beyond excited to say the least. However, this pregnancy hasn't been a walk in the park. It has however been quite the blessing. To top it all off, we are moving again. Yes, moving our home only 2.5 weekd before the baby is due. We are crazy. LOL. I had the babys room all set up, then sadly had to take it down. We are moving to a MUCH better neighborhood in a MUCH better tri-plex. We are super excited for this new adventure, but hope little Azlin holds off on her arrival until I atleast have her room done! I found my camera & the camera cord, so I will be doing a MAJOR post in the next couple of days of just pictures of what we have been up to...and boy is it a lot!

GIRL... Yes, its true. A beautiful baby girl. Her name will be Azlin Starr McGary. I'm now 21 weeks. I feel more & more pregnant everyday. The baby is constantly under my right rib, so its a little uncomfortable. When we found out what we're having on July 15th, they informed me that I have placenta previa. So if things don't "move itself" I will be having a c-section the week of Thanksgiving. Wow, a baby before Thanksgiving. I'm SO not ready for it. Anyways, there you have it...ITS A GIRL!!! xoxoxo

18 weeks...and counting!

So I'm offically 18 weeks. I am almost HALF way thru this pregnancy. Its hard to believe that we tried for so long only to have time pass by so quickly. I am still amazed at the fact that I'm growing another human being in my "tummy"...its crazy, almost Alien (the movie) like. LOL. But I've enjoyed this journey so far and wouldn't trade one day of it. Even when I was falling asleep on the bathroom floor from morning/afternoon/evening sickness. We find out the sex of our nugget on July 15th, my husbands birthday. What a great day to find out if it's a boy or girl. We THINK it's a boy. (it would be the FIRST grandson on the McGary side. I'm sure no matter what the baby is, it'll be excited to join the 3 McGary girls & 18 Bartlett kids.) I know a lot of you are asking about names. Well, theres our picks friends...

Hello 2nd Trimester!!

Well I am now in my 2nd trimester and AM LOVING IT!! The day entering into my 2nd trimester, I woke up and said a prayer. I asked Heavenly Father for no more morning (or in my case all day sickness) and for my RA to be calm throughout the remainder of my pregnancy. Ever since that little convo with God I've been fine. I am currently having a flare up, but I can handle that for sure. 1 out of 2 really isn't bad. LOL. We have a high risk OB appointment tomorrow. (I have to go to a high risk because of my RA & other things) Hopefully we'll be able to see if its a boy or a girl!! Right now, I am just happy for this experience. It has brought me & Andrew closer and we've enjoyed looking for baby items.

Moving, Puppies and More!

So this past weekend we moved into our own little 2 bedroom apartment on Avocado Street. Its nothing fabulous, but its ours. Packing and moving while pregnant is an adventure. Whats also an adventure you ask?? Waking up Saturday morning to find out that my dog Maui had her puppies...YES, on moving day. She had four puppies underneath the shed in my parents' back yard. Its amazing to see her with her pups. She is such a good mama. So, anyways we had the gang over & they helped us move. I started spotting and cramping, so I basically put myself in a "time-out" for a few hours during the move. Now, we're all moved in and totally NOT unpacked. LOL.

The pregnancy so far...

This has been one WILD ride!! I have been "sick as a dog" for about 5 weeks now. It seems as though everything I eat doesn't want to stay down. (gross I know, but oh so true!) As of today, I am 11 weeks, 3 days. I have insomnia big time. I'm lucky if I get 4 hours of sleep a night...IF THAT! I am starting to have a belly, which is nice since thats all that reminds me I'm throwing up for something. LOL. On top of being preggo, we're also MOVING!! We found a 2 bedroom apartment in our same Ward & its in our price range. We feel so lucky right now, first the miricle of our lil nugget, then our apartment. Everything seems to be falling into place. We feel so very blessed. I just hope its not too long before I can take time out to blog again! LOL.

We're Expecting!!

So a couple weeks ago I wasn't feeling well. We thought it was the flu...a really bad case of the flu. When it didn't go away after a week, I started to wonder. (while sick I watched "I didn't know I was Pregnant" and they ALL said they felt like they had the flu) So the next morning I took a pregnancy test on a whim and it came out POSSITIVE!! I yelled "SHUT UP!" haha. Since Andrew was at work, I texted him and told him what had just happened. He was on a call, so I had to wait a whole 10 minutes to talk to him. In the mean time, I took 5 more tests. LOL. ALL CAME OUT POSSITIVE! So when Andrew called I said IDK if this test is right and could he pick up some on his way home? He said of course and that was the end of that. Well, I couldn't wait until 3pm when he got home, so I ran to Target to get some MORE pregnancy tests. I took them all, and got the same result...POSSITIVE. So I hope some together and put it on the toilet seat with a sign that said, "You're going to be a Daddy." When Andrew got home, he went to put the tests he bought in the bathroom & saw the sign. I started to cry and he was jumping for joy. LOL. So there you have it, thats how we found out we are pregnant. We are grateful for this experience and can't wait to see our little nugget!!!

After telling some of our family, we went out to dinner...just us...to celebrate. We went to one of my favorite places Shima. It was good, however it didn't last too long. LOL. So after a year of trying, we're expecting a baby on December 1, 2010. We will definately put up new "posts" about our journey into parenthood.

"College Park Ward"

So today was our "big mystery Stake meeting." It went okay. LOL. It actually went great, however we lost some AMAZING people to the "Mesa View Ward"...formally known as CM1. We are now called the "College Park Ward." I will forever be still calling it CM2 out of habit until it grows on me. LOL. =) We lost a lot of good, close family friends to the Mesa View Ward. But hopefully we gained my Mother-in-Law & Andrew's younger siblings. Sad to see friends go, but excited about this new adventure the Newport Beach Stake has for us. I know this came down from the Lord & I have faith that this is for the best for everyone. Can't wait to see what else becomes "new" in the College Park Ward.

We signed up for the DiGiorno Champions party & we were "accepted" to host a party! New Moon

On Friday night (3/19/10) we went to the midnight release for the movie "New Moon." Since I am a "Twitard" as my husband calls me, I was SO excited and had to be there early...9pm early. LOL. Andrew & Memory came with me too. While my loving Husband waited in line for us (we were 2nd inline!!) we played games, debated over Edward & Jacob, and watched scenes from the movie. It was a lot of fun. We even won prizes!

I'm sure all o you know I'm a hardcore republican...LOL. Yes, I bleed BRIGHT RED! Anyhow, I am a big Mitt Romney fan. Even when he ran for office I wore a "Rootin' for Romney" shirt. I heard thru the grapevine that he was signing his book "No Apology" at our local Barnes & Noble and we just HAD to go!! He spoke for about 10 minutes then signed his book.

Glen Ivy

After working "The Beehive Family Expo" we were SO worn out. So we decided to go to Glen Ivy on the next wednesday (on wednesdays its only $18.65 to get in). That means we were there on St.Patricks day...oh man was there a lot of people & A TON OF GREEN!! But we had a good time.

"weighing" the issues...

So 99% of you know I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. And 100% of you know I've wanted children since forever ago. (LOL, ok since the day I married Andrew.) To get pregnant, I've had to go off my medication for 1 year. I started getting off them 2 years ago. However, since I've gotten off them I've been less active because I'm in so much pain. So I've gained 50 pounds. UGH...50 POUNDS. Thats a lot of weight. I am struggling losing it...I am trying to lose it...I'm losing the battle. I don't know what else to do. They tell me to able to get pregnant I need to lose the weight, and be off my meds. I am not sure when it is going to happen, but I hope it happens soon.

I turned another year older on Feb.27th. I still can't believe I'm 28! LOL. This past year has been a hard one. I lost two people I loved dearly, went through some serious medical issues, was in the hospital over 3 times, got a new car, celebrated being married to my BFF for 1 year, and traveled quite a bit. It has been a year of ups & downs, emotional highs & lows, however it has made me greatful for the life I have. Here are a few pics from MY special day!!

First of all let me say I LOVE THE OLYPICS!!! It is an awesome time where we cheer on our nation in different sports. What a great way to show USA pride!!!! Any how, I asked Andrew "Who are you rooting for?" He said "USA & Finland"...I said "you have to pick one." He laughed and said NEVER!!! LOL. I guess his Finnish blood still runs thick from his mission. =)

On February 3rd, Andrew, Taylor, Meghan & I all went to a Ducks game. We had so much fun!! The seats were BEYOND excellent and we stayed until the very end. Yes, the Ducks won too!!!

Today little Honor turned 2. I remember when he was born & how excited I was to get a new little nephew. He has brought love, laughter and excitement into our lives. We went to Chuck E. Cheese today (aka, every parents hell) to celebrate and had a blast. He went on EVERY ride and played EVERY game. He was so cute. Also, when you ask how old he is he now says "TWO!!" I just can't believe how big he's getting. Thank you for being you Honor. We love you!

As alot of you might know from the tv, Southern California is having a HUGE storm!! I can't believe how harsh this storm is!! Our street has been flooded twice already!! There is wind, rain, thunder & lightning. HOLY SMOKES BATMAN!! Its been like this for almost 3 days now. I must say that I am NOT tired of it, I LOVE THIS WEATHER! However, there was a tornado warning in Costa Mesa and that kinda scared us.

A Lacrosse filled weekend!

This past weekend, my niece Kady (daughter of Cheri & Doug) had a Lacrosse Tournament in Palm Springs. Since they live in Colorado & we don't get to see them as often as we'd like, we all decided to go to Palm Springs and watch her play. We stayed at an AMAZING time-share called Palm Canyon Resort & Spa. They had everything we needed & plenty of room for all 6 of us!

This is the view from our room...LOVE the pool!! The jacuzzi was in the middle (underneath) of the slide. It was such a fun pool. They had a "swim-up" bar & snack shack, water volleyball, both slides and we had a BLAST!!!

There was a jacuzzi tub in the main bathroom. Honor & I played in it for what seemed to be HOURS! Grammy even gave us ice cream in the tub!! LOL.

As alot of you know I have a TON of family in Las Vegas. This past weekend we went to Vegas to visit family and have fun. We stayed at my cousin Debbie's house. (Thanks Debbie!!) We had a blast visiting family, eating at way cool places, playing BINGO & Andrew worked on everyones computer. LOL.

This is how I saw my husband 75% of the time. LOL. Thanks for all your knowlwdge & helping the family with their computers!!
Andrew & I love the History channel and one of our favorite shows is "PAWN STARS." It takes place in Vegas at the Gold & Silver Pawn. Since we were in the area we went to see it!!! We waited in line for like 15 minutes then went inside and boy was it FANTASTIC!!

We didn't win anything but we laughed so hard I almost pee'd my pants a few times!

What did the McGarys do this New Years you ask? WE STAYED HOME!! lol. Since this might be our last New Years at my parents house we stayed home, had good food, played Rock Band, and when the clock stuck 12, we went outside & light sparklers!! It was very low key & a lot of fun!! Thanks Mom for everything you did!!

...Our 2010 Goals...

1. Go to the Temple Monthly.

2. Embrace all the difficulties that come our way.

3. MOVE!!!! (out of the Bartletts humble abode, maybe out of state)

4. Start emergency prepareness collection (I have almost everything BUT food. LOL)

5. Lose weight...lets face it, its on everyones list!!

6. Start a family.

Notice how I say goals and not resolutions? I found that I failed at resolutions yet succeed at goals. So goals for 2010 it is!!!

2009 was very hard for me. I lost a nephew & a niece. Nothing ever prepares you for the loss of a loved one. Even though I know I'll see/be with them someday, its the "meantime" that is hard. I am hoping that 2010 will be easier on my heart & loved ones.

Today is one of my best friends Birthday. She was in my wedding & has been a "sister figure" to me for over 14 years...She is an amazing person who I am glad to call my sister. She is is strong, loving, confident, faithful, God-Loving, Spititual, funny, and most of a friendly. She is one of the most friendliest people I know. I am sad that she lives in another state, because I'd love to hang out with her more. But I know the kids at the BBBS need her right now & she'll come back. hint hint winke wink...LOL. San Diego "Mini-cation"

The day after Christmas Andrew & I headed to San Diego for a romantic get-a-way...We stayed at the Sheradon at the Bay. We had a bay view & a great room! The first night we went to the Gaslamp district for some pizza lunch. We then went back to the Hotel & relaxed (I wasn't feeling good). Later that night we went to my favorite resturant GRINGOS!! It was SO good! (sorry theres no pics of the first day) The next day we went to my 3rd favorite place...SEA WORLD!!! (#1=the Temple, #2=Disneyland...LOL) I love Sea World and just adore hanging out with the beautiful animals.

People were singing when we first walked in...what an entrance! LOL.

Tonight we went to South Coast Plaza & saw Santa. He's the best Santa around & SO FUNNY!!! We had such a fun time talking to him & seeing Madeline sit on his lap for the first time. Follow The Star

Today has been a GREAT day! After church today we went to "Follow The Star" at the Rancho Santa Margarita Stake Center. It was awesome and the Spirit was really there as they performed. There was also a Creche exibit inside and we enjoyed looking at all the nativities from all over the world.

Our tree is up and we have a dvd "fireplace" going & it's going to be Christmas soon!!! I just LOVE Christmas. The lights, the music, the whole reason for the season. It's our 3rd Christmas together, and our 2nd married Christmas...We got our Christmas tree on 12/5/09 and decorated it that night! Thanksgiving 2009 was a good one. We had lunch with the Bartlett's then dinner with the McGary's. At the McGary's we were in charge of the turkey. Since I'm no domestic goddess I turned to Andrew and said, "Wanna deep fry a turkey?!" So we did! (sorry there are no pics of it, I was making sure my husband didn't catch on fire! LOL) The turkey turned out SO GOOD!!! I was proud of it! After all of our Thanksgiving festivites I convienced Andrew to go with me to spend the night at the local Wal-Mart for the "Black Friday" sale. I wanted a flat screen TV, a Blu-Ray DVD player & some other stuff. We headed over there around 9pm & were the 170th person there! HOLY SMOKES!!! It was a fun, yet long night. We made some friends & brought our heater. My mom, & Memory met us there around 3am along with Mo & Marlene. We had a nice size group. I have to thank my husband for being such a good sport ALL night & day! Well that was our Thanksgiving, I hope everyone had a wonderful one too!!Here I am making the Gravy...our only picture!

Disneyland Birthday & Christmas Festivites

Since it was Mo's Birthday on Friday, we decided to go to Disneyland to celebrate. (We all have passes) Not only was it Mo's Birthday, but it was also the first day of their Christmas festivites at Disneyland. Mo wanted to be one of the crazy people that wait for 4 hours to see Fantasmic, so we packed some snacks, games & blankets and basically "camped-out" for 4 hours until it started. It was a BLAST!!! We ate, laughed & played games until it started at 10 pm.

They were both in my wedding for many reasons, the main reason is because they are 2 of my closest friends & they have been with me thru thick AND thin. They are my friends that I run crying to & my friends that make me laugh so hard that tears come down my face! They are my friends who will give me the shirt off their back & I'd give them mine. I could easily say I'd lay down my life for these 2...THEY ARE THE BEST!! Anyway, Candace came into town for our friends wedding and we all got together for a "girls night"...We went to our favorite resturant ACAPULCO then came back to my house and played games. So on Monday October 24th, Mom, Memory, Honor, Scott, Andrew & I all went to Disney's California Adventure for their "Halloween Party". It was for the employees & Brother Brent Place got us in. THANK YOU BRENT, WE HAD A BLAST!!! We walked onto EVERY ride we went on...it was awesome!

On Saturday we had our Annual Ward Halloween Party. It was a blast! Andrew went as a Hockey Player (I even gave him a black eye with eye shadow), I went as a Nurse, and Honor went as a Motorcross Rider.

On the day we got back from the Cruise, Erik & Amy came down to go to an Angels vs. Yankees baseball game! As a lot of you know, they are in the play-offs & we are HUGE Angels fans, so being able to go to the game was a BIG DEAL for us! We had SO MUCH FUN! (even though we were surrounded by Yankee Fans...and Eriks BIG MOUTH! LOL) Here are some pictures from our "Play-Off Adventure!"

Bartlett Family Cruise

So it's been one heck of a month! Theres not a day that goes by that we're not busy...UGH! But I managed to put in a little "Bartlett Family Fun." On October 19th, My parents, Memory, Honor, Scott, Carolyn & I all boarded a ship to go to Mexico for 3 days! (Andrew had to work) It was a blast! We had so much fun. This being Honor's first cruise & I just got back from one, the majority of the pictures are of him! LOL...What can I say, Auntie loves her boy!!

My sister Carolyn & I (along with Honor) did the "On Deck For The Cure" for Breast Cancer. It was only a mile long & talking/laughing with my sister made it seem like a stoll!

One Year Ago Today...

We were Sealed for Time & All Eternity! WHAT A YEAR IT HAS BEEN! It seems like only yesterday we got married. For our anniversary we slept in, went to yogurtland for a scooby snack, went movie hopping (yes, we are childish), and ate a nice romantic dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. We forgot about the top of our cake AFTER dinner, so we're going to do that tomorrow night. (I'll put pictures up later!)

Marrying Andrew was the best decision I have ever made. He's so funny, loving, supporting and everything I wanted in a Husband! Thank you for a WONDERFUL 365 days Andrew! I LOVE YOU!

Miramar Air Show!

So yesterday Andrew & I took the 2 hour drive to Miramar AFB to go to the Air Show...IT WAS FANTASIC!! (Even though it took us 4.5 hours of traffic to just get there & park) Both Andrew & I have so much respect, love & gratitude for our Military. I have a lot of family in the Military and have gone to Air Shows since 7th grade. Andrew has been going since he was a kid with his Dad. The weather was PERFECT, the event was PERFECT and we had a BLAST! We brought the 3 essential S's...Seats, Snacks & Soda Pop! LOL. We didn't get a picture of EVEYTHING we saw because we were too busy WATCHING!! So heres a little of what we took...

Disneyland at Halloween Time!

So as MANY of you know we have Disneyland Annual Passes & go quite frequently. We just LOVE Disneyland & all of its festivites!! On Thursday Oct.2nd we went to check out their Halloween time decor & go on a few rides. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! We LOVED all the decorations and the fireworks show was GREAT! We even talked some friends into going THIS week so we have an excuse to go AGAIN!

After the fireworks we RAN to the Haunted Mansion. It was decorated in the theme of "The Nightmare Before Christmas"...It was SO much fun & not scary at all!

This really has put me in the "Halloween Spirit!" I can't wait for the upcoming seasons, it's my favorite time of year!!

THE CRUISE...

So I know its been a week since I said I'd be posting pictures of our trip, however IT HAS BEEN ONE BUSY WEEK! Anyways...We had an absoult blast on our anniversary cruise. Since we've been to every stop before, we didn't do any excursions. We went off the boat, explored on our own a little, had lunch then went back on the ship to swim! Did I mention I came back BRONZED?! We spent SO much time at the pool that I got tan in SEPTEMBER, thats almost unheard of! LOL. Enjoy the pics!

Baby Falzone! (They STILL don't have a name) My best friend Melissa (Mo) had her first child today! (A baby Girl) She started having contractions yesterday at 3am, and when to the Hospital around 10am. We got to St.Josephs at like 6pm. She has some of her spine fused together & was VERY difficult & unsuccessful to get an epidoral. Poor thing. She was in labor for 27 hours!! Her father Frank & I waited outside the door & heard everything...the screaming, yelling for Mo to "push", the babys faint cry, Ada saying, "Theres your mama", and crying in the room from Mo, her Mom & Geoff. What a special day it has been!! When the baby was all cleaned up & Mo was stiched up, I went in & saw the precious child that had just entered the world. Mo, Geoff and I said a prayer of thanks for the baby, the safe condition Mo was in, and a huge thank you for eachother and the close family-like bond we share. We were all in tears and it was a great moment. I can't wait to spend more time with "little Moeffy" and her radical parents!! Congrats again to My BFF Mo & Geoff...you guys are going to be AMAZING PARENTS! Auntie Wynter & Uncle Andrew are going to spoil her rotten!! We're going on VACATION!!!!!!! Today we booked a cruise to Mexico! We leave Sept.20th and get back Sept.27th. Thats 7 days ALONE with my husband, in PARADISE! I can't wait! We are giving this to eachother as our 1st Anniversary gift. The boat stops at Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan & Puerto Vallarta...3 AMAZING stops! Let the "VACATION COUNT DOWN" begin!!!

RS Fireside

Brother Jones came over to our house tonight for a Relief Society Fireside, and it was INCREDIBLE!! We learned so much from him. He is truely a knowledgable man of God. He brought over not just 1, but 2 ORIGINAL BOOK OF MORMONS. He also had a bible from the same year. He had them in a special case & everything! We even got to hold them. Just holding them & knowing what they've been thru and where they came from made my Testimony grow like a WEED!! I am SO greatful for Joseph Smith and his worthiness/truthfulness in writting my favorite book....The book that defines me, the book I could read over & over again and learn something new every time...The book my faith is built upon, the book I believe in and finally the book I charish above all. I am also thankful for the Temple to teach me (us) more everytime we go. I love my Faith, there is ALWAYS something new to learn. In these books he brought, there was no verses, only chapters. It was very interesting to compair mine to that one and how far it has come in production. When Bro. Jones was giving his "talk" it was like listening to the Prophet speak, you couldn't NOT pay attention. Thank you CM2 RS for such an enriching evening to help build my testimony!This is 1 Book of Mormon & The Holy Bible...The foundation & "building blocks" of our Faith.

So I went to my RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) Doctor today & She basically gave us the GREEN LIGHT we've been waiting for to start our family! We're offically "trying" now. I am SO excited to become a MOM...I've waited all my life to become a MOM & now it's possible! We'll let you know what happends! We can't wait!!! Keep us in your prayers!! GO McGARY'S!!!!!!! LOL.

So Mo is due ANY DAY and we are taking things in "short stides"...LOL. Mo kindly reminded Geoff that this could be their last weekend ALONE until the baby arrives. That being said, we went to Shima's. Its a chop-chop house in Huntington Beach & it was SO good! I told them it was Geoff's birthday so we could get free dessert. =) It was a farewell childless nights dinner, and we had SO much fun. What more could I ask for besides, good convos, good food & GREAT company! I really can't wait until Mo has the baby...We've been friends for so long, its like my sister is having a baby!! I'll keep ya'll updated!

So since Mo is due Sept.2nd or any day as I like to say, we've been doing a lot of things before the BIG arrival of Moeff! LOL...they don't have a name yet so we mixed Mo & Geoff and got Moeff! =) Anyways, here is some pics of our Disneyland experience. We went at night to aviod the "heat wave" and got dinner, did a lil' turtle talk with Crush, then went to watch the Electrical Light Parade in California Adventure. It was a blast! Can't wait to add little Moeff to the group!!

August has been a VERY busy month for us. I mean, we have been on the go non-stop! Heres a little more of what has been going on this month...Our niece Meghan Marie McGary was baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. What an AMAZING day! It was held on her 8th Birthday (August 1st) & she litterally glowed all day! We are SO proud of Meghan and her choice to be baptized. We hope you'll always choose the right & We hope to be there in the Temple when you get married someday! Congrats Mego!!

We went to Wild Rivers...TWICE!! Honor LOVED the water. It was great to see him interact with the other kids and in the water. Of course Auntie Wynter & Uncle Andrew took him into the wave pool, WHERE HE FELL ASLEEP!! All in all it was 2 great days of family fun. We even ran into Atalie & Randy one day and accused them of following us! (we've seen them a couple times other places while we've gone on dates) We went around the lazy river with them a couple of times and Andrew kept flipping Atalie...dang siblings! LOL!

ROAD TRIP!!! A LONG ONE TOO!!!

Since we had to go to Colorado for the funeral, there was so many of us that we had to drive...ALL 18 hours!!! Needless to say it was a LONG ride. On our way home we decided to take longer & travel a different way, so my family could see some of the countryside. Here are a some pictures from our trip. (Andrew couldn't make it because of work, so he's M.I.A. in the pictures.) Honor, Memory, Me, Mom & Dad at a state park.I made it to the TOP! I LOVED this sign...It was posted every other mile...My brother & sisters & my dad...in birth order...EXCEPT for my dad!Garden of the Gods. My dad LOVED it!Dad, Me, Honor & Memory at the Manitou Springs Cliff Dwellings. We had such a good time there & were bummed we missed the Indian dancing...AGAIN! Mom said, "oh this could be our Christmas Card...I said, uuummm we're missing MY HUSBAND!" Whats up with people ESPECIALLY FAMILY forgetting I'm married?! LOL.Pops 'n Me @ 7 falls...It was beautiful, but took 1 hour going UP stairs and 1 hour going DOWN stairs...We took the elevator to the look out point...LOL!My Pops, being the funny guy he is...ha ha! Someone was on a roll...LOL! I told him his new Indian name is "Older then Dirt"...ha ha!Mom & Pops down by the river, going to Ute Mountain. (its an Indian Rez)This is Mesa Verde Mountain Cliff Dwellings. It was a LONG hike & only my pops & me made it to the actual dwellings. Its old Indain dwellings literally built into the side of the mountain. It was VERY cool to see!I thought these signs were VERY controversal & hillarious...so I drank water RIGHT next to it! Four Corners...Utah, Colorado, Arizona & New Mexico...I FIT IN 4 STATES!!Chapel of the Holy Cross...Its laid inside the side of the mountain & you can't see it until you come upon it. Its in Sedona, I reccommend seeing it whenever you get a chance!This is the view of the Valley at the Top of Church of the Holy Cross...BREATH TAKING!It says "Please don't pick us, we're smiling at God" I LOVED this sign...good thing it was at a church, or I would've taken it!!! LOL.This is the remians of an old house that Indians used for shelter in the Winter. It was in our way to the Petrographs.

These are some of my favorite Petrographs, the square ones that maze are the Native American sign of Eternity...There is two here, a very rare find. I LOVED THIS ROAD TRIP!!! It was challenging at times, and Big Red is VERY dirty, but all in all I will remember this trip for the rest of my life. I was with my family for 7 days straight, traveling & seeing this beautiful country. When I was little, we didn't have much money, so we didn't get to travel & I feel lucky enough to have had this oppertunity to travel with them now. Thank you for the WONDERFUL memories!

Aubrey Dale Tomlinson

As most of you might know, my niece Aubrey passed away in my sisters arms at the early age of 20. She bravely battled cancer since she was 18 months old. She was brave in her fight until the bitter end. This is the 2nd family member that has passed this year, needless to say this year hasn't been the best. Infact it has been one of the most devistating year of my life. First Eddie, then Aubrey. My sisters Cheri & Carolyn are such inspirations to me. They are strong, brave, supportive, and every other word that can define them as my sisters. Aubrey is burried close to Eddie, I really like that. They were troublemakers here on earth together & now they'll be causin' a scence up in heaven. Here are just a few pictures from her lunchin. Some pictures & things of Aubreys.

I had the privledge to go with her on one of her "Bucket List" tasks. We went to her favorite bands concert...RASCAL FLATTS. She had a meet 'n greet with them & they signed her red hat, back stage pass, and some CD's for her. She was basically in heaven that night. It was great being with my sister & her family in such an amazing moment. Aubrey will be missed greatly. She fought everday of her life & in a way I'm glad her pain is over and in a way I'm sad because she passed so young & my sisters heart in hurting. However, we know we'll see her again and that brings comfort. Until we meet again Aubrey...I LOVE YOU!

So also on saturday my good friend from high school Lisa Groty married Jordan Peters. It was at the Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point...and IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!! They exchanged vows over the beach & had a GREAT reception. Since they BOTH went to my high school, it was almost like a high school reunion! I saw people there I haven't seen since graduation & people that I have missed dearly. Anyways, here are some of the pics from her reception... Andrew & I at our table. Mo & Geoff's Baby Shower

So this Saturday we were SUPER busy...Mo & Geoff's baby shower was at 1pm & then Lisa & Jordan's wedding was at 5:30pm. SUCH a busy & fun-loving day! So Mo & Geoff are having a baby girl. We call her Moff...LOL. They had over 100 people there & it was a blistering 82 degrees with a humitity of 100%! I must say Mo handled the heat better then I would have at 8 months prego! Andrew's Party!

So since this is his 1st birthday since we've been married, I decided to go all out & throw him a Bartlett-McGary-Friends Birthday party. We had it at Halecrest Park & we had a BLAST. There was swimming, LOTS of food (thanks 2 my mom), and a lot of love. We loved having everyone together & not be over-crowded! I was too busy having fun & swimming that I only took a few pictures. Heres the FEW i took....Heres a lots of the poeple around the "campfire" we had to keep us warm after swimming.

So for Andrew's Birthday he gets into free to Disneyland, but since we have passes he got a money card worth $69.00. It was fun going on a couple rides, then leaving. LOL. Here are a few pictures of our adventure to Disneyland on Andrew's Birthday...Here we are on the TRAM RIDE!! (as we call it!)

Today is the love of my life's BIRTHDAY...He's a whapping 26! I am so glad I married him, it's the best decision I ever made. He's the best Husband and is going to be a GREAT father. He's my best friend, my eternal companion, my lover, my rock, my priesthood holder, my laundryman, my doorman, my chofer, my #1 supporter, my psycologist, my helper, my bank, my vacation buddy, my dream come true, my shoulder to cry on, my other funny bone... Colorado Here We Come!!

So on Friday morning we got on a plane & went to COLORADO! It was a great trip, we saw so many things & had such a great time visiting family. We had a great 4th of July. We went to The Garden of the Gods, The Manito Cliff Dwellings, The Stanley Hotel (you know, from The Shining) Pikes Peak and to the NORTH POLE!!!

HAPPY 4th OF JULY!

On the 4th of July, We stopped by to see Eddie. Eddie LOVED holidays & LOVED being a Piro for a day on the 4th of July. In memory of Eddie we put sparklers in the ground where he is burried & we each had a sparkler & lit it off his. It was a somber moment & a celebration in his honor. We love & miss you Eddie.

HAPPY 4th OF JULY!!! We are greatful for all the Troops who are fighting for our Freedom and those who have died so that we can have our Freedom! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!

So at the base of Pikes Peak, there is a city called NORTH POLE...OF COURSE WE HAD 2 STOP!

We had a great time at Santa's North Pole. There were animals, rides & good food! We even met SANTA CLAUS!! It was great. Thanks Mom for taking us!

Since my Great-Great Grandfather founded Pikes Peak, (Yes, we are Pikes.) We decided to go up to Pikes Peak. It was breathless, and the view was fantastic. It was a LONG drive, but it was fun!

Disneyland With The Copps'!

Alot of you know we have Disneyland passes. Well, Magen, Nate & Wyatt were in town so we all went for Nates Birthday! We got there at like 10:30am & stayed until Midnight. Yes, Andrew had 2 work the next day & was a TROOPER and stayed until midnight. =) Since we knew the park the best, we kinda led the pack...it was a VERY fun day & we enjoyed being with family at the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!

So having a Hockey Loving Husband, we HAD to go to the Discovery Science Center when they had "The History of Hockey"...I thought I'd be bored out of my mind, but in the end I think I was more excited about everything then he was! We were like kids in a candy store! Heres some pics of how much fun we had being 10 again....

We had a great LONG day at the Discovery Center...I stood in a hurricane room, we sat in the Earthquake "shack"...being from CA it wasn't a big deal, but it was still fun! I am SO excited because my sister is in town. I LOVE IT when she comes to town & I get to spend time with her. This time it was really special...this past thursday we went to the Temple & did Eddie's Temple work. You could totally feel how strong the spirit was and that he was there, and he was waiting for that moment. Yes I cried...We all did. So Andrews started his hockey season the other day. He's on a great team & he looks forward to it every week. This season he decided to change his number from #83 to #2...In memory of Eddie. Eddies' number was #2...It was a somber moment when I first saw it & broke down because of his tribute to my nephew. Everytime I see him in the #2 jersey I think of Eddie. Thank you for that Andrew! This season he is also the team captian. I love my Husband & I LOVE WATCHING HIM PLAY HOCKEY! He gets better every season, so we'll see what this season brings. Long Time, No Blog...So A LONG Blog...

So I know it's been FOREVER since I've blogged...and ALOT has happened. I've been in & out of the hospital for the past 3 months. My gulbladder is like defective or something. I've been in pain with my gulbladder & my RA. I had to stop taking ALOT of my RA meds because we're going to have a baby soon. =) Yes, I said soon. Not yet, but we'll be working on it. ;-) I also lost my JOB...not a biggie. I could really deal without the drama of watching other peoples unrully kids. SO......since then, I've been to vegas, we had our annual EME and much more....here are just a few pics of whats been going on in our lives....ENJOY!

MY BIRTHDAY!!

So it was my birthday Feb.27th & I turned 27...ugh! So for my birthday my sweet husband did so much for me! Friday he took me to a day spa called Glen Ivy. We "frolicked" in pools all day, played with mudd & went to the grotto. IT WAS FABULOUS!! Then on the 28th, Andrew took me, my mom & Honor to Goofy's Kitchen. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!! Then at 2:30 he took me whale watching in Dana Point. We didn't see any whales but we did see TONS of dolphins! THEN he took me to my favorite resturant Maggianos. I had such a great birthday, it was truely one of the best birthdays I've had. Thanks hunny!

On Jan.29th, 2009 I lost my newphew Eddie to a really bad decision. I can't even begin to write about my sadness and my broken heart. Everytime I sit down & think, I think of him....and his decision. I feel so sorry for my sister Carolyn. He was her baby, her everything. So, I went to Colorado the next tuesday to be with family. His funeral was on Wedensday. It was one of the best I've ever been to. Being just 18 years old when he passed, basically his whole class was there, as was his club volleyball team and church friends....over 400 people. The spirit was so strong there, there wasn't a dry eye in sight. I knew Eddie was looking down & saying, I never knew how many people loved me. I wrote him a letter & put it in his casket. This was so hard for me and it will never get any easier...I loved Eddie so much. I had just seen him the week before doing what he loved....playing volleyball. There will never be a day I don't think about him. Here are a few pictures from the funeral and gravesite....

Like I told my sister Carolyn, Eddie is now with our Grandma (who LOVED Eddie & Eddie LOVED her)...I told her that he just needed a little extra time with her before we all got there. May you rest in peace Eddie, I love you & can't wait to see you again.

Sea World here we come!!

So as many of you know, Andrew & I are season passholders for Sea World. I absoultly LOVE that place! Since it was Honor's 1st Birthday on January 23rd we decided to take him there as one of his MANY gifts! We had such a good time! Honor bearly slept & bearly ate he was SO excited! He loved spending time with Auntie & Uncle....but nothing beat seeing all the amazing animals for him. Here are a few pictures from our little adventure:

So on Dec.31st my Mom made a FANTASIC dinner & we rented movies and just basically stayed home with family to ring in the New Year. It was fun just being able to relax and enjoy the night. We watched River Queen (don't rent it) and Mama Mia (Andrew says don't rent it. LOL) After ringing in the New Year we went outside to light sparklers & flashers. CHRISTMAS DAY

So Christmas Day was FABULOUS! We woke up like little kids @ 6:30am! We layed in bed & talked about how weird it is that this is our 1st Christmas together, that we're actually married (we STILL can't believe it! LOL) and how much we love each other. It was great just spending alone time together. Then we opened eachothers' gift's at about 7:30am. My parent's were having Christmas morning at 8am, so we joined them, Memory & Honor shortly after our own little Christmas morning. Here are some pics...enjoy!

THEN....we went to the movies to see "Bedtime Stories." It was great. A little slow to get started, but it was really cute. =) And that concluded our Chrsitmas Day. It was a great 1st Christmas for us.

CHRISTMAS EVE

This Christmas Eve we spent it with my family. My sister & her family came from RSM to spend it with us. It was great having them over. We had a great meal that was prepared by my mom....GREAT JOB MAMA! Then we had presents, the kids' favorite part. We got some really cute stuff. I was a total stress case until this point because of everything we had to wrap, go buy and clean. Anyways, here are some pictures from Christmas Eve with the Bartletts!

COLORADO TRIP!

So the day after Thanksgiving after shopping til we dropped, we took a 2.5 hour flight to visit some of my family in Colorado. Originally we were going there for the birth/blessing of my niece's baby but she never popped it out. LOL! When we first got there it snowed & it snowed for 2 days....can you say COLD?! But we also went to my Nephew's son's 1st birthday party. It was a really fun trip & we can't wait to go back!
